Australia 1970 Captain Cook 3 Medal Set

To commemorate the bicentenary of Captain Cook's Voyage to New South Wales Australia in 1970 the Metropolitan Coin Club of Sydney commissioned Amor Sydney to strike a three piece medal set.

Designed by club members Mr G.Bevan and Mr W.Mira the 57mm medals were struck in bronze oxidised silver and silver and are housed in an original blue leather case of issue each individually edge numbered #12.

The reverse depicts H.M Bark "Endeavour" surrounded by the various stop overs.

ONLY 41 COMPLETE SETS WERE STRUCK!
